ClearBlock is a browser extension that blocks ads and some trackers using on-device rules. Premium is an optional, paid upgrade that unlocks additional controls and convenience features. Core ad blocking remains free.
You may use ClearBlock only if you are legally able to form a binding contract in your country, and you are not prohibited from using the extension under applicable laws. ClearBlock is not directed to children under 13, and you should not use it if you are under that age.
Premium payments are processed by our third-party payment provider (currently Stripe), who handles checkout, payment processing, and applicable taxes on our behalf. Your card details are processed by the payment provider and are not stored by us in full.
By purchasing, you agree to the pricing, billing period (for example monthly or yearly), and any applicable taxes shown at checkout. Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions will automatically renew at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time to stop future renewals; access to Premium features will continue until the end of the current paid period.
See our Refund Policy for full details. In summary, we offer a 30-day refund on first purchases; renewals can be reviewed within 7 days if unused. You may cancel a subscription at any time to stop future renewals. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory rights you have under local consumer law.
You agree not to use ClearBlock to violate applicable laws, disrupt services, or infringe third-party rights. We may suspend or revoke access to Premium, or restrict use of the extension, if we reasonably believe there is abuse, fraud, or a material violation of these Terms.
Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle data for the extension and the website and forms part of these Terms. In short, we do not collect or sell your browsing history. We may process order and licensing information for Premium, and limited server logs for security and support.
We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may evolve over time, and we may release updates, fixes, or new versions at our discretion. We may modify or discontinue parts of ClearBlock (including Premium features) where this is reasonable, for example to improve performance, comply with legal or platform requirements, or address security issues.
ClearBlock is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Ad and tracker technologies change frequently, and results may vary by site. We do not guarantee that all ads will be blocked or that all sites will function perfectly with ClearBlock enabled.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or in connection with your use of ClearBlock. Our aggregate liability under these Terms is limited to the fees you paid for Premium in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience only. We are not responsible for their content or policies. ClearBlock is distributed via third-party browser stores (such as the Chrome Web Store or Microsoft Edge Add-ons), which have their own terms and policies. Those third parties are not responsible for how you use ClearBlock.
Unless otherwise required by local consumer law, these Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date. For material changes, we may also provide additional notice in the extension or on the site.
